MOULD MAKING
Unimoulds begins the process of creating a mould with the development always starting from the shape and design usually provided by the customer. From the shape, we quickly obtain a three-dimensional scan using a laser for model reading.
This technology allows us to obtain a very precise and detailed digital file, which is then used for mould design.
Design is a crucial phase in mould making, as multiple factors must be taken into account such as the material to be used, the dimensions of the piece to be produced, and the type of production process. Once the final shape of the mould is defined, we move on to choosing the best materials to ensure strength and durability over time. Once the design is completed, the construction phase of the mould begins.

3D MODEL
The development of the 2D CAD drawing and the subsequent preparation of the 3D model is carried out using Optical Scanners and CAD/CAM systems, such as Autodesk® PowerShape, PowerMill, and Microsystem® Cimatron, ensuring the creation of high-quality moulds. In this initial design phase, the software proves to be a valuable tool as it allows:
- A comprehensive view of the project even before it is machined;
- The execution of rapid corrections to the design.
